Minority Nurse Magazine Scholarships 2017

Minority Nurse Magazine Asking application for Minority Nurse Magazine Scholarships. If you are an African American Student then you can apply for this Scholarship. You will get up to $3000 from Minority Nurse Magazine Scholarships. One award of $3,000 annually and two awards of $1,000 annually. All awards are non-renewable.

The Minority Nurse Magazine Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic excellence, financial need and a demonstrated commitment of service to the student's minority community. Nursing faculty members may nominate students and complete the form, provided that all required documentation is included with the application. Selections will be made by the editor of the magazine and its editorial advisory board. Scholarships will be paid in the summer. Graduate students who already have a bachelor's degree in nursing are not eligible to apply

Eligibility for Minority Nurse Magazine Scholarships

In order to be eligible for this scholarship student must

• · Student must be a member of a racial or ethnic minority group.
• · Student must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• · Student must be enrolled in an eligible nursing program.
• · Student must be enrolled in the third or fourth year of an accredited BSN program, OR an accelerated program leading to a BSN degree (such as RN-to-BSN or BA-to-BSN), OR an accelerated master's entry program in nursing for a student with a bachelor's degree in fields other than nursing (such as BA-to-MSN). Graduate students who already have a bachelor's degree in nursing are not eligible.
• · Must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
• · This award is for U.S. students.

How to apply for the Minority Nurse Magazine Scholarships:

The Minority Nurse Magazine Scholarship’s application mode is via Online. It is important that your application form is fully and accurately completed.

In addition to a completed application, the student must submit the following: 

• · A transcript or other proof of his/her grade point average;
• · A letter of recommendation from a faculty member (outlining his/her academic achievement); 
• · A 250-word written statement summarizing his/her academic and personal accomplishments, community service, and goals for his/her future nursing career. An English translation must be provided for any documentation that is not in English.

The completed application and supporting materials must be submitted online no later than the deadline date.
